To this day the mystery and allure that a wreck portrays can’t be found anywhere else. The same is true for the King Cruiser Wreck site that hosts a popular site to explore and discover. Stretching to around 25 meters, with multiple decks and spacious open areas the wreck is home to many species of fish and crabs. It is close to Shark Point which is one of the reason why the site is full of marine life. With time it is hoped that as the wreck gets older, it will attract even more fish to live in. All in all, the site is one of the most popular with divers of all classes because of so much to see and experience

At about 32 meters depth you will be able to see some large lionfish roaming around the area but they are not that easy to spot. This is because they disguise so well against the rusting steel and corals. The wreck is also full of scorpionfish and the location is popular with macro sighters and photographers.

There are also many nudibranchs and crabs, which live around the small crevices. You come across different kinds of eels including the honeycomb moray eel. Particularly in low currents, the boat can be virtually hidden by huge shoals of reef fish like rabbitfish, surgeonfish, and fusiliers. Bigger hunting fish like trevally, snappers, mackerel, and yellowtail barracuda are also just around the corner to sight.

Marine Life in King Cruiser Wreck:

For those seeking a sight of sharks, you may be able to do so with a leopard shark which is usually seen around the propellers in the sandy bottom. Then there are also gray bamboo sharks usually seen in the middle level at the stern. During the high season, scuba divers may spot the largest fish on earth – the Whale Shark.

The incredible variety of marine life of the King Cruiser wreck, make it one the most famous dive spot in Thailand. With many scorpionfish camouflaged along with the rusting steels and so are schools of trevally, snapper, rabbitfish, fusilier, or a mixture of several thousand fishes at the top of the wreck. Along the stern, hovering lionfish are also a common sight to see. Other creatures that can be spotted on the wreck are nudibranch, eels, crabs, and a huge great barracuda. All you need to know about diving with us to the King Cruiser Wreck

  • Our team will pick you up from your hotel at 7:15 am and drop you at our Boat at Chalong Pier.
  • Once on the boat, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet on board and we will continue to serve you snacks and drinks throughout the trip. 
  • A lunch buffet is also served with all dietary requests taken into account. If you wish to order a vegetarian meal, please contact Scubadeep’s staff once you board.
  • Next, you will be briefed by your instructor regarding the use of all diving equipment, dive sites, and what to expect from each dive location including all safety-related matters.
  • After the trip, we will drop you off at your hotel. 

What’s included in your Trip.

  • Complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off on all days to most locations.
  • Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments on the boat. 

Here’s what’s not included: 

  • The package does not include any underwater videos and pictures. But they can be requested from the diving staff on board with charges of 1000 THB per day. 
  • For certain locations, additional charges for pick and drop may apply. These include areas that are Surin onwards to Maikhao beach or the North of Phuket. 
  • 600 Baht Entry Fees to the Phi Phi Islands. You can pay 600 Baht per person to park officials.
